Why is Shenzhen the best place to develop a product?
Like many companies, startups and corporations alike, flock to Shenzhen to work on their product development, what are the benefits of doing your product development in Shenzhen, and what are some of the drawbacks? Shenzhen has created one of the World’s most integrated ecosystems to support innovation and the development of international companies.
It is no wonder why so many hardware companies do their product development in Shenzhen. As I will explain throughout this article the reason why product development in Shenzhen is so attractive and how you, as a founder/engineer, can take full advantage of this ecosystem. If you are in the World of hardware, then you must have heard of Shenzhen before. Although, there are clear contrasts between America’s Silicon Valley vs China’s Greater Bay Area (a.k.a China’s Silicon Valley).
Unlike many other regions across the World, Shenzhen has created an end-to-end development, manufacturing, and logistics hub designed to be the most compelling reason why so many companies do their product development in Shenzhen. But, this has slightly changed over the last few years as Shenzhen has transformed itself into an innovation center. Shenzhen has attracted some of the most talented hardware engineers in China, and many internationally. Product development in Shenzhen has begun increasing in popularity among startup founders. The ecosystem is here, the engineering experts are here, and now, numerous enterprises and supporting platforms are here, to greatly increase the chance of developing and deploying your devices successfully.
